Proof your Webcite

Proofing your website shows that you are a professional and that you take your music career seriously. It's okay to use slang if it appeals to your target audience...just make sure you spell it right!

  • Create "Friendly URL's"  your website address will appear like "ww.yourwebsitename.com/home.html" otherwise will appear with a bunch of numbers such as "www.yourwebsitename.com/190128741239045.htm.
It's super easy to do! Just click on "Edit Page" and type in the name of the page 3rd white down (with letters only and no spaces) and click "save"
  • Check for duplicated titles. Every time you "add a page." the page title automatically appears at the top of the page. If you put the page title in the design your web page, it will appear twice as shown on this page. You can easily remove the title by clicking on "Edit Page" and deleting it form the "title" box.
  • Check your Spelling and Grammar. It's always a good idea to ask someone with an "Editing Mind" to read over your website for you! You can do this with the Active Editor tool bar.
  • Check your links to make sure they work.
  • Proof your Website. I highly recommend that you read ALL of the text on your website out loud. Sometimes you may have a word spelled correctly, but it's the wrong word four the sentence

*Note: There are over 100 pages in this "User Guide" and it is very likely that you will find a typo here and there. If you find one, shoot us an email! we greatly appreciate people with "Editing Minds!"
