How do I resize my images?

To resize your images, you need to resize them in your photo editor before you upload them to your site. If you don't have a photo editor, here is a free one you can download and some instructions.

Download at: Easy Thumbnails.

Instructions:

  1. In the box titled "Look in," you want to go and find your picture and then in the window just below that, click on your image file.

  2. Now you need to pick a folder to put your thumbnails into. Click on the button that has "..." on it. When you click on the folder you want, you should see the file path in the text box under "Save in."

  3. Next, you need to choose the size you wish to resize to. Click on the tab called "Settings." You need to only change one of Max. width or Max. height. The other amount will adjust accordingly. You can see a preview of your resized image if you click on the "Thumbnail preview" tab. The other thing you should note is the "Prefix/suffix" text box. These characters will be just in front of the image file with your resized image. This is so that you do not save on top of your original image by accident. Click on "Make" when you are done.

  4. You will now find your image in the folder you chose in step 2 with the prefix to your filename from step 3.
