You do not have to set-up your email through your website, you can continue to use your Yahoo or AOL etc. account.

However, if you are planning on sending out mass emails for the first time to your database, contact your email hosting company BEFORE you send a group of emails! It is easier to get a major label record deal than it is to get OFF the "Spam list!"

This is also why we recommend using the built-in "Newsletter" feature, it automatically sends an email to confirm their subscription and it only takes one-click to "unsubscribe." Once subscribers confirm their subscription, they are placed on the "white list."

The benefit to having your email address @ your website is that gives your music business a professional edge and people will look up your website based on your email address.

Creating Your Email Account

  1. Click on "Tools" -> "Email Setup."

  1. Click on the "Add Account" tab.

NOTE: Dependant upon who you have your Internet Connection (Comcast, MSN, etc.) you may have to follow the "SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS," so read through ALL of the directions.

Also, the "Mail2Web" accounts do not keep track of emails that you SENT, this free service ONLY allows you to view incoming emails. This is great if you are on the road and want to check your emails from any computer. You can set-up a "Mail2Web" account IN ADDITION to your Outlook etc.
